I just put the Natonal Archive bit on to show that the Trantums were in Buckinghamshire in the early 1700s

Thanks everyone for the rapid responses!

AnnCardiff - I've got most of the info you've listed, the marriage to Hannah and his children. Do you know if his marriage certificate will have his parents name on it? I'm not sure if it did in those days. Also, the National Archive info is a good few years before Henry's birth and again I can't seem to get anything leading up to Henry's birth.

MarieCeleste and BeverleyW - I got the original details from curiousfox. Hannah died in 1858 and some of his children also married and died in that area. As Henry died aged 56 in 1839 his birth date must have been about 1783.

Sorry if I've caused confusion about the "child groom" Several trees I've come across have Henry married to a Mary Rooke first, in 1790 who had a child Elizabeth (b1807). Henry would have only been 7 years old, impossible! On the marriage details for Henry and Hannah in 1812 Henry is listed as widower.

Really appreciate your advice.

Thanks
Jane :-)

TRANTUM, COLEMAN, Buckinghamshire & Lancashire - (Buckinghamshire ( County, BKM, Bucks England) - Buckinghamshire)
Hannah TRANTUM (nee COLEMAN)was born c.1794 in Seer Green, Bucks and died in 1858 in Prescot, Lancs. She married Henry Trantum, a widower with a daughter Elizabeth, in Buckinghamshire in 1812. Her children were all born in Bucks/Middx areas and by 1839 the family was in Prescot, where Henry, a Potter, died in 1839 aged 56. I should like to hear from anyone with connections to this family.

Hello Jane
How do you know his date of birth/age? And where does it say 'child groom'?
Also, how do you know that he went to Lancashire if he was dead by the time of the 1841 census?

Hello Jane - welcome to the boards.

If Henry was born c1783 and married Hannah 1812 he would be 29 so I wouldn't call that a child groom!

I'd be grateful for any help finding my g-g-g-g grandfathers parents and any siblings. I've tried many of the websites familysearch, mundia, ancestry etc and cannot find anything. I've found many "Trantum's" from the 1600's to about 1740ish but cannot link them to Henry.

Here are the details I know:-
1) Henry was born about 1783 possibly Buckinghamshire (unconfirmed).
2) He married Hannah Coleman in Farnham Royal Buckinghamshire on 9.11.1812.
3) He moved his family, wife and 7 children (Elizabeth, William, Richard, Lucy, Mary, John and Hannah) up north to Prescot Merseyside in 1839 and was a Potter/Sugar Mould Maker.
4) Died in Prescot 6.8.1839.

It would be interesting to find out why he moved his whole family up north.

I have also found that some members trees have Henry being married before Hannah to a Mary Rooke and having his first child Elizabeth. I'm not sure because marriage dates found put Henry as a "child groom"

Grateful for any help, please let me know if you need any more details from me.

Thanks
Jane :-)
