Odd how her age changes...and the names of her companions on the trip...Edith l*ckhurst becomes L*well on arrival. And who is Andrew Wilson??

Just idle questions on my part...as I said..I don't think she's "yours".

I have looked on Scotland's people for a death certificate did find one for William Wilson Milligan 1950 which states John Milligan and Mary Nilson as parents and this person was 69 when he died so was born 1881so definitely not the same person

feefee Report 29 Jun 2013 11:57

My great grandfather John Mulligan remarried after Isabella left he changed his surname to Milligan and married my great grandmother Mary McKellar Madden on 19 Sep 1919 (he was a bigamist as he never divorced Isabella)

That 1930 record, gives his father as 'Owen Mulligan' so it looks like a different guy.

Feefee, have you tried Scotlands People for a death?

When was his mother born please?

KempinaPartyhat Report 29 Jun 2013 11:33

But I think this above shows that William Wilson came and went to and from america in the 1930s ......

The mother isabella is probably in USA which may mean you need to have world wide access to something like ancestry

Probably they both died in USA

Have you been able to look at the USA Birth marriage deaths records?

feefee Report 29 Jun 2013 11:27

I have tried to find any marriages, children or even date of death for either Isabella or William but have been unable to track even that down. I feel like I have hit a brick wall I stumbled upon another tree with Isabella Hunter in it and they give 26 Jul 1914 as Arriving i Montreal, Quebec Residing in Toronto,Canada Departure was
Liverpool, England I have been trying to verify this but have been unsuccessful .
