William Swift was born in 1853/4 in Ashton in Makerfield, his first wife was Elizabeth Pimblett, she died in 1909. in the 1911 Census he is shown living at 11 Sankey Street Earlstown a widower aged 58. in 1920 he married Eliza Sheridan |

You definitely need the second marriage certificate even if you are sure it is "your" man as it will give you Eliza's marital status. If you can't find any information about her it may be that it is also her second marriage so the certificate would give you her maiden name. |
