There isn't an inordinate number of deaths in the two time-scales which have been registered with no second forename, although there are still enough to make getting all the certs financially prohibitive |

You could check the Electoral Roll for the address on the widow's death cert in years leading up to her death, to determine whether William was at the address.and if so, when. That would narrow the time-scale - and location - for your search |

There are over 60 people called William Dale in the death records for the period 1911-1936 who were born in the period 1860-1864. I don't think you'll be wanting to buy over 60 death certificates. |

I am trying to find the date of death for the right William Dale. He was born in Sutton Scotney , Hants in 1862 Bap in Wonston Hants 1862 .he had no middle name, Joined the army 2nd Battalion Hants Reg and from then on his birth year was1864. He retired out in 1903 and married Ada Margrett Turle from Kent in Winchester in 1903,as far as I know they had no children but on the 1911 census they had his brothers child with them. They moved around the country for work, he was alive on the 1911 census and his wife died a widow in 1936 in dorset, there was no obituary for her. |
