Hello Debbie, that's very kind of you to offer your services to people. Are you just offering census look ups or are you able to give them the complete picture with other records too as the rest of us who help on the boards do?

Are you offering overseas census too?

Hi Marie,
I can give give them as much info that I find including census images, or any other historical event I find.
The people I've helped on here since 2003 have had everything that I've found
If they request it, it's no problem.

Hi Debbie,
I am researching the family R.F.Hammer born 1889 registered in Camberwell as Richard Fritz, later Richard Frederick, I have information on this family and recently came across a photograph with the mention of an Uncle Alfred of which I know nothing about. I notice from doing searches that there is a Alfred Hammer born 1868 in the 1911 census and a Freiderick Alfred Hammer born 1868 in the 1901 census. An Alfred Hammer has a death in 1942 and also listed in the probate list. I wonder if you could do a couple of census lookups for me please on this Alfred or frederick Alfred Hammer so that I can get a bit more information.

Just in case it's of any help, the original 1942 probate in the name of Frederick Alfred Hammer was revoked and regranted in 1943, this time the name was Freidrich Alfred (otherwise known as Alfred). Probate granted to Emil Adolphus George Hammer, merchant.

ADDED:
Emil appears to have been born 1893.

According to his WW1 service records when he attested 1916 he was the son of Charles Richard Hammer of Hill Brow, Honor Oak Park, SE

(Honor Oak Park is where Alfred Hammer is on 1911)

Thankyou for that, Emil Adolphus George Hammer is the brother of whom I am researching - Richard Frederick Hammer. That is brilliant.

Frederick Alfred Hammer is found on London electoral rolls from 1921 to 1939 with a Thomas Edward Holmes and Ann Elizabeth Holmes at 20 Benson Road, Honor Oak Park.

Nationality and Naturalisation: Hammer, Friedrich Alfred, from Germany. Resident in London. Certificate 17707 issued 18 November 1908

I am searching the Beckett/Symonds family ancestors from Norfolk UK. Have found hundreds, but yesterday found a marriage that I am sure is the right person. Arthur Beckett married Ada Elizabeth Symonds in 1901. folio4b page 30. However I can't seem to find Ada Elizabeth as there are three or four to choose from and the ages don't match. Can you help please?
