I am looking for any information about HUGH ROSS born 1849 at Edinburgh, his parents were JOHN ROSS & MARY CRAIG, JOHN died about 1849 and MARY remarried to JOHN DONALD 1852. I have found HUGH on the 1861 census entered as HUGH ROSS DONALD and on the 1871 as HUGH R DONALD (stepson) I cannot find him or his parents after 1871. If there is any other person researching this family or can help with any information would you kindly get in touch, thank you.

Hello Syd, if there is anyone else searching for this family then you will have to go hunting for them! Only a very small proportion of GR members use the community boards so it's unlikely that if anyone has those people in their tree that they'd see this.

If you go to the Search menu above and select Search All Trees then you can find out if anyone else is researching them and make contact.

Have you done any research on Scotlands People website?
