ooooh now i've got victors name have checked and soeone on here has him in their tree!! i so hope they are still a member and reply so many don't reply now or have left the site :-(

thanks for the info it is building into a nice picture already.
my grandfather was living in london pre war and Victor was born in london, and if the death is right he died in norfolk not far from where my grandads family originally came from so they obviously had a bit in common. how sad he died age 41!! i know my grandad went into the war A1 for fitness and came out C4 he had typhus as well as other illnesses, so sad i cannot even image what they went through. Any sign of Victor having children? thanks again for all the help!!!!!

HI my grandad was a POW in stalag 8b lamsdorf poland among his papers is a picture of a good looking chap and on the back is
PTE V G COAD 22214 RAMC stalag 8b. would someone be kind enough to help me find out more about this chap he was obviously important to my grandad. My grandad was also in the RAMC as a driver so i would guess this chap was too. It would be lovely to eventually trace family of this chap in case they don't have a pic of him.
