Thanks for that Potty. All of the records you guys have suggested, I have followed up on and, they all appear to feature the name Boaz. But the confirmation of Boaz Goodchild's death (i.e: the will mentioned above) is the parish record that I found, which confirms the date and place but clearly lists his name as Boetius. I am wondering how Boetius became Boaz? Late 17th Century...variation on spelling? His daughter, Faith Goodchild, went on to marry and have a son, which she also named Boaz. He, then, married and named his first born Boaz. It fascinates me. :-)

In those days Latin was used for parish records - Boetius was probably the priest's version of Boaz.
