Thanks everyone, especially for the details of James and Margaret's marriage, which I did not know. It seems odd that all Mary Ann's siblings were baptised at St Anne's , but maybe she was herself baptised in the Presbyterian church. I think she was the eldest of nine or ten. |

Registration didn't began until 1864 in Ireland, noncatholic marriage 1845. So your not going to get a birth cert. James and Margaret married in May street Presbyterian church Belfast 1845, so it is possible that Mary Ann was baptised there, but there baptism records are not online. |

Thanks Mel, yes I have. It's Mary Ann's birth or christening dates which are the brick wall of brick walls! Death in 1925 says age 77, 1911 Census says age 62. Do UK Death Certs give actual date of birth, as Australian ones do? |

My great grandmother. Parents James McNea and Margaret Hunter. Spouse Carl Edward Fryd. Siblings baptised in St Annes Church of Ireland, Shankill, Belfast. All other records found, but HER birth details elude me! Most frustrating!! |
