When and where were these people born?

You could, of course, obtain the marriage cert...................if you wish to be really sure of her name

Yes,have checked familysearch,and Sussex OPC and FreeReg.,was just hoping there might be something on FMP.

FMP have only SOME parish registers

Have you checked the IGI?

If you think you know where in the Lewes reg they were married, you might find them transcribed on Sussex Online Parish Clerks

After looking at the image against Jane's ref, I'd say it was Pearce.

I have Henry Carter marrying Jane Pearce (3 different spellings for Pearce on FreeBMD) in the 4th Q of 1847 Lewes Sussex RD

Would there be any more info on FMP as they have the Parish Registers ?

Grateful for any help
