2007 is not available online. Most sites go to 2005 and you might find a few entries for 2006

You won't be able to purchase the birth cert unless you know the exact DOB.................50-year rule

What is your connection to this person?

Where was he born?

As you know the date - and cause - of his death, you are unlikely to learn much else from the death cert

Ancestry say they go up to 2007 now but not seeing anything for that year

There would have to be an inquest into the death so the death could not be registered until it was concluded - which can take months. So likely to have been registered very late in 2007 or in 2008.

My grandparents were killed in a road accident and they were registered in the same month they died

I think that's fairly unusual Jax. The family usually get an interim certificate to enable burial, but the inquest is concluded before the final death certificate and registration are issued. In my father's case he died in 1980 but we didn't get the death registered and the certificate for almost a year.

Guess it depends on the circumstances.

There was an inquest as I remember my parents going to it, but whether it was after the funeral or not I don't know...they died June and the death certs are registered April-May-June

There is a possible birth index district Grimsby in 1964 .could that be the right one?
