No info on FMP, so I'm hoping there may be some on Ancestry

Isaac, born c1826, was in prison in Gloucestershire on 1851 census

I'd really appreciate any info about his crime and the length of his sentence.

He married in 1848..............so the time-scale for his trial is quite narrow.

Thanks in anticipation..................

I can only see this one Reggie:

England & Wales, Criminal Registers, 1791-1892 about Isaac Reynolds
Name: Isaac Reynolds
Date of Trial: 19 Oct 1852
Trial Year: 1852
Location of Trial: Gloucestershire, England
Sentence: Acquittal
Crime: See Image
Date of Execution or Release: See Image

In the column for describing the crime it just says 'The Like' which seems to be used in place of 'ditto' on this page.

The person above says 'Larceny from his master' so I assume this was also 'his' crime?

I cannot see an earlier one which would put him in prison in 1851.

Excellent, Ann............thank you.

And thank you, Dea, for the info about what may be a subsequent 'offence'

The prison in which he was locked up is now a restaurant

Have sent Reggie a newspaper article from 1852 where Isaac gets a very brief mention in the "Not Guilty" column of the local assizes news.
