I have a complication.... my paternal grandfather was married twice. His first wife he married in 1925 -Robert Spurr - Lilian Butler, Nottingham. |

Thanks Fredk - I also found these just through searching maiden name of mother, married name of mother to include marriage cert and father. However I cannot find any marriages or deaths for these daughters. Some could possibly be still alive. |

As mum died just before WW2 its likely the children were put in a home and maybe adopted . As their dad never mentioned them then that's a likelihood . |

Thanks all - yes , probably adopted after they were put in a home. Then changed surnames.....this outcome I hope was right and didnt end up in any 'poorhouse'. |

Elizabeth - The spelling I have is 'Marjory' on the birth reg..... not Marjorie. I think Marjory rather than Marjorie is an unusual spelling? |
