Very odd that a 1946 marriage is in a listing that's only supposed to go to 1940!

From other records, the marriage was in Bristol.

I am looking to find some information on a robert Frederick Base born 1921 and died 1992, he married Florence Beatric May Howard in 1946, I am trying to find Roberts Frederick parents, have looking on BMD could not find any Robert Frederick base born 1921, so before I purchase a Marriage cert, wondered if anyone can help me
