I originally looked for a John Standen who was born in Hapton which is between Accrington and Burnley in 1791 he married a Dinah Ingham abt 1811 in Padiham There is a church at Hapton but the records dont go that far back so it wont give him or his parents. |

Yes I have noticed that the Hapton Church was not in service in the 1700/1800s so the Standens from Hapton must have been baptized elsewhere. I am told by someone that in those days the vicar did the rounds of the various churches and it depended on where he was and that was were you would be baptised at. |
