This is all confusing.

I can't find a marriage between Evan John and Margaret Owens around 1889
on one child's birth Cert she is Margaret John formerly Owens on about
3 Baptism certs she is listed as Margaret Owens.
The Mrs Baker thing is confusing as if she is Margaret s mother she should
Owens unless of course she remarried but I'm having trouble locating a marriage between a Baker and a Owens.

I have looked back on this and cannot find a connection at the moment!! - Only to the names Crichton and Evans but not to Owens !

Hi All

Thanks for your time.I have them in the 1901 and 1911 census together
in 1891 Margaret and baby Caroline are together but not father Evan.
As to using other names, I haven't a clue.
I thought I might get something from Mrs Baker and London Berdens but hasn't gone anywhere either.

Hi

These have been a puzzle to me for about 3 years.

What I know Evan John was born in Cardiff 26 Dec 1852 to Thomas John
and Mary Jones.

He is supposed to have married a Margaret Owens in 1889 ( according to the 1911 census ) I can find a Evan John marrying in 1889 in Cardiff but no Margaret Owens. According to the census she is supposed to have born in Cardigan Wales about 1862.

I have the birth Cert of John Evan John their son born 15/9/1894 in Cardiff
and it says mother Margaret John formerly Owens.

Also in the 1911 census at their home in Croft St Cardiff there is a Mrs Baker
( no first name ) aged 69 calling herself Mother in law to Evan John,it says she was born in London Berdens ( never heard of it ).

Can anyone offer some clues to me we live in NZ so birth/marriage and death certs. are not so easy to come by.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
