Dont know if you are researching the whole Rutter family but Reginald was with the Royal Engineers in Bermuda in 1911

He married Fanny Ware in 1916 (there is an entry for this in the BMD secttion of an old paper)

Just noticed the eldest child is born 1885- so 1884 for a marriage looks promising. (And my Mum thinks the old lady was called Nell or Nellie-which is used for Ellen) I feel another compulsive cert purchase coming on!

I have found a possible marriage of Ellen and Walter 1884 Walter James Rutter and Ellen Burge? I have tried to look for Ellen Burge though on 1881 to seee if I can find her with birth place of Yatton,Somerset-and I can't! but, I can't seem to find Walter either !

I 've been to the cemetery today-and found the age etc of agentleman I am working on. His name was Edward Hugh Rutter and he was born 1900 (Dec) reg St Thomas Devon. Please if anyone doesn't mind could they look at 1901 and 1911 for me to see his family. I am expecting him to still be in Devon,probably Exeter
