They were still together in 1911 . Maybe Isabel was told he was missing presumed killed so she remarried . Edwin came home but she was remarried and was happy in her new marriage so he bowed out. |

Don't think so there was no divorce unless you had big money to do so . people would part ways and then go on to remarry either in the ir maiden name or saying they were widowed. |

Did you have to have to produce a death cert. in 1916 to prove your 1st husband had died?I have a marriage cert.for Isabella Rylance stating she was a widow when she married Charles Currie,but her 1st husband Edwin Rylance does not seemed to have until died until 1944. :-( |
