I have just had a look for the marriage you said you found for John Wolfenden in 1941 but the only one I can see to a Parker is to a Lilly E. Parker, NOT to a Lottie Parker.

If you buy the marriage certificate for Lottie and John it will give you his age at the time of marriage, his occupation, his address at the time of marriage and also his father's name and occupation which will be a start.
It will also give you her age, address, occupation and father's name so you can confirm that it is the Lottie you are looking for.

I did find this one on FreeBMD but, for some reason of another, the spouse was not shown (i.e. there were an odd number on the page and she was not shown) - I think this will be the one. Thanks for all your help.

Now need to find out what I can about him

John Wolfenden was married to Emma Lancashire (b. 1886- D.1939) and I can trace this marriage in 1910.

I am then told that, following Emma's death, John married his late wife's sister, Lottie (b. 1884) who had, in the meantime, been married to an American. I can trace a marriage in 1941 of a John Wolfenden and a Lottie Parker but cannot find the possible marriage of Lottie Lancashire to a ?? Parker.
