hi Gins, sorry, both my grandparents were from there, they emmigrated to canada c. 1912 and i am going over to england, so i was wondering if these land records/deeds were still in the hastings museum so i can get some copies of the deeds for signatures and information from them, i guess i have this on the wrong thread now that i think about it...so i will just wait to hear back from the museum is the best thing to do, i was wondering if anyone from hastings or has been there to do this type of family history digging,
jennifer

Hi Jennifer,
Unless someone else knows different...I wouldn't think you will be given copies of someone else's house deeds. Thats what you are after..is that right?

Regards Vera

Hi Jennifer

Can you be specific as to what/who you looking for. Some names, dates of birth and places would help

are 'land records/deeds' 1870-1930
(an example is formerly Rossmore 22 Quarry Rd., now Rosehill Nursing Home 44 Mount Pleasant Road Hastings and the like) in the Hastings museum?

in 2006, I was told they were in there but it was closed last time, I know I have info. somewhere about all this but it is lost in my family history files somewhere...,

i have addresses, both my grandparents emmigrated here to ontario canada c. 1912-3 surname moon and baker and i have about 10 addresses i want copies of deed / land records and such, i was wondering if someone could help me get ready before i get to hastings again this aug. please? i am waiting for an email back from the museum in Hastings, just wondering if soemone out there has done this before in hastings

thanks, jennifer
