Thank you for all the information..I think the wife Charlotte was just mistranscribed, he only seems to have had 2 wives.
It seems like they were in London with the children as early as 1837 as the baptisms were then.Perhaps they had the children baptised at their new church?

If he married Elizabeth in 1843 and is with her in 1861 then why is the wife in 1851 called Charlotte?

I see birthplace for Charlotte and Elizabeth is Portsmouth so perhaps same person?

Jabez Thurgood born 1800c in either Herts or London..
1841 he should be with wife Harriet and children Mary, Rebecca,Robert and Harriet.
Wife Harriet died in 1842, he then married again(1846 to Elizabeth Gummery)
1851 onwards would be with wife Elizabeth born 1810 Holborn and an extra daughter Charlotte born 1846.
I have tried to find them on the Genes census but no luck..Thank you
