Ahh thanks so much to Maddie and Jan.

I don't know if I've seen this before. Did you say that it was on Find My Past? I subscribe to that site too. How silly do I feel.

It sort of rings a bell, but I think I may have dismissed it because I wasn't sure of Thomas's occupation.

I'll have another look at it now.

THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH BOTH OF YOU !!!

Many many thanks
Karen

I have been searching for my great great grandmother Elizabeth Day's parents for some time now.

Elizabeth was born in Edinburgh in 1851 and her father is listed as Thomas Day (Joiner) on her marriage certificate.

Elizabeth married three times in total:
1) To Michael Robinson in 1867 in Tynemouth and had three children - Michael, Mary and Anthony.
2) To Bartholomew Thewlis in 1874 in Tynemouth and had four children - Charlotte, James (deceased young), James and Helen (my great grandmother)
3) To Hugh Young in 1892 in South Shields (no children).

If anyone can help me - maybe with Scottish look ups to find Elizabeth and her family before she was married, I would be eternally grateful. I don't know if they were still in Scotland before her first marriage of if they were in the South Shields / Tynemouth area.

Many thanks in advance.
Karen
