Have sent an e-mail to St. Alkmund so will wait to hear from them, if they aren't able to help I'll send an e-mail to Shropshire archives.
It's hard trying to find the correct family ancestors as there are such a lot of Green's'

Given the age I would think the registers will have been deposited with the relevant County Record Office which in this case is the Shropshire Archives.

Thank you so much to all the people who responded to my query. The 1841 census is the right one . I,m the same person who has the Titherington family tree on Ancestry and I live in Australia so I have to do all my research on the computer which is OK if you know where to look.
Have been trying to figure out how I could view Thomas Green and Frances Hartshorn's marriage certificate, I don't think I can get one through the usual channels as 1815 might be too early. Does anyone know if I could contact St. Alkmund Church ?

Thomas is a widower by 1851.

In 1851 Thomas is in Madeley civil parish, which is in Atcham reg district

There's a tree on Ancestry (Titherington family tree) which says she was born 1764 in Pontesbury, Shropshire.
But no verification.

My GGGGrandfather Thomas Green 1776 married a Frances Hartshorn on 3/4/1815 at St. Alkmund, Shropshire, before the marriage she had 2 illegitimate children with Thomas named as the father. For the last few years I have tried to find the birth, parents etc of Frances but to no avail.
Would anyone out there have come across her in their research or would be able to help me in my search for her ?
I have just about given up but would be over the moon if anyone could help.
