Can anyone help, I'm researching my first school, Lansdowne Road Tilbury Essex , the first Attendance Officer was Edwin A Baxter, later he was the School Caretaker, born Stoke Newington 1859. His wife Eliza came from Boston Lincs born 1866,
but in the 1891 the only Eliza Baxter in Tilbury is married to a Fredrick J Baxter a Dock Constable, born Stoke Newington 1864.
By 1901 her husband is Edwin A Baxter born 1859 Stoke Newington School Caretaker. with 4 children born Tilbury Essex.
By 1911 Edwin A is a Widower age 52 has a sister in law Ada Greenfield age 37
Can anyone through some light on Eliza and her Spouse/s?

There is a well documented tree on Anc that lists Frederick J Baxter of Dragoon Guards retiring to become a School Caretaker and Physical Instructor at the Tilbury Council School in April 1892

It includes an extract from the Tibury Gazette about this event which lists his 7 children and for some reason he signs himself as E Baxter

Is this the family please, there first child is named Frederick

According to the tree he appears to have enlisted in 6th Dragoon Guards under age and without his father's consent under an alias as Edwin Alfred Baxter and as a consequence was disinherited .
