thanks everyone yes that's the right family. hewas christened 22 Apr 1832 so no idea why his age is out but it's def him! MarieCeleste where did you find this? is there anything else that survives? |

Not sure it is easy to find Crimean records...I had an ancestor's husband who died in Scutari - there are no military records but I found a website which was newspaper records of deaths. |

Medal Rolls for the Crimean Medal are on Ancestry. Can't see a Charles Hall of Grenadier Guards on it, though. |
