Find Ancestors

Hi,

I'm trying to find the birth record of Allan John Dudley born 1930/31 in Goole, Yorkshire. His father was Percy Dudley and I believe his mother's maiden name was Cooper.

Yes, that's the parents and the first son Edward(Ted) who was much older than Allan.

To further this I am told that there were also sisters Joan and Rosa and I can't find birth records for these two either.

Allan John Dudley married Rita Jean Gooch in Leeds in 1953 so he did exist.

There is a birth of a Rosa EA Dudley with maiden name Cooper in East Ham in 1936
And Joan M Dudley in West Ham in 1921

I also found those two but there was a marriage between Edwin Dudley and Freda Cooper in Leeds February 1928 so I think Mary and Joyce belong to them.

My friend who I am doing this search for is sure the girls names were Joan and Rosa.

Now that sounds very feasible as Percy was born in St Pancras and the family lived around the London area.

Percy was a Seaman of some sort which probably brought him up to the Goole area where he married and later died.

Still no sign of Allan?

Now that seems like you have cracked it. I'm told Allan was born 12th September so a registration in Q4 could be correct.

Hi Reggie,

Allan was my friends father but the marriage failed when he was very young. He knows all about his maternal side of the family, having grown up with his mother, but only a few names on his paternal side.
