Found an Irene Guilbert on georgia census born 1928 so wondering if her gonna order marrige cert this week and see what shows up

Wonering now if maybe she was born Guernsey as seems alot were born with that surname or could have been France just asked my mum and she.couldnt help mucb either

Kazzie, if you remember her - you say she was strange - do you think English was her first language? It's just the surname origin is French, although her christian names don't sound very French to me.

I also have wondered whether she had been married before, but everyone assumed that Guilbert was her maiden name

I've searched and searched, but still can't find out anyhting

I know the sons birth confirms her name, but wonder if that was a mistake and she had actually been married before? Not that I can see any obvious marriage for and Irene K ? to a Guilbert.

Alternatively, she may have been adopted or assumed the stepfather's name if her mother re-married, or simply born outside the country. Not sure if the marriage cert will give much more, but it's probably your only hope of getting any further with her.

Just found her obituary she was Irene Kathleen died Nov 2010 age 82 so looking around 1928Ish

Someone has her as a Dorothy I K Gilbert born 1921 wimborne but this lady married a joseph Robinson unless thats why changed her name to Irene and added a u to her surname but cant see this was her as sure she was younger than EVerett so 1937 would be more likely

it may be that the only way to get information on her is to buy the marriage certificate.

Assuming she told the truth ................. that would tell you her age, where she was living, her occupation, and the name and occupation of her father.

Irene died a couple of years ago and no good asking either of them stuff cos seperated themselfs from rest of family over Everetts mothers will and wanted it all

According to 192.com Everett and his son are living in weymouth up until 2013 Irene only seems to be listed until 2011

Cant seem to find a birth for her not sure what year was born but think she was a bit younger than Everett and sorry yes he was born 1923 they had one son quentin born 67 so older parents

I am trying to find the surname of the woman my gr uncle married his name was everett claxton and she was Irene (think may be Gilbert) not sure what year they married but was Dorset Everett was born 1928....thanks
