am trying to trace my gg grandmother , all i know is she gave birth to my grandfather alan grant burns in1910 in kelvin glasgow , the birth was registered by a steward as she was unmarried and didnt keep my grandfather , before his birth she was domocilled at a fam in glenlivet scotland where my granfather was bought up by the grant family . any cues would be appreciated |

The birth of scotlands people is for Allan Grant Burns (not Alan). If that was the name he was registered under, I wonder if one of the Grant family was his father? |

This may be the Jane from 1891. There is about 10 miles between Tomintoul and Glenlivet. |

It may be worth checking out the Poor Relief records for Glasgow at the Mitchell Library. As an unmarried mother Jeanie may have claimed Poor Relief while she was in Glasgow. |
