Look on line for the cemetery for the area.

As far as I can work out, Oakdale comes under Caerphilly County Borough Council.

While searching, I did come across a newspaper item -
The Jerusalem graveyard in Woodfieldside near Blackwood was closed to visitors in 2004 on the advice of the Health and Safety Executive.

You could also try these Cemetaries.

Cemeteries
Newport City Council is responsible for three public cemeteries situated at:

•Caerleon – Cold Bath Road, Caerleon NP18 1NF
•Christchurch – Christchurch Road, Newport NP18 1JJ
•St Woolos – Risca Road, Newport NP20 4HY

There is a tree on Ancestry ...looks like he worked in the Oakdale mine same as my Grandad did

Who was your Grandad? Would they have worked there at the same time?
