Row is actually the old name for Rhu. It used to be in Dunbartonshire but got moved into Argyll and Bute in a boundary change a few years back. |

It's in Ardencaple Drive, Helensburgh. If you Google it, there are lots of sites to choose from and masses of info, including photos. |

I can't find any Ardencapel castle. However, there is an Ardencapel Farm 2km E of Rhu kirk. This farm seems to have been built between 1864/5 and 1898. In the same time slot, a large country house (Glenoran) appears just 300m to SW. It looks like it had extensive grounds, and would certainly have had gardeners. You can input Glenoran's OS coordinates 228000,283950 at: |

Yes thanks - I had Googled it and found all the photos and history listed but thanks to Andysmum, who gave me a street name, I can now find it on Google Earth. (Only viewable from a few positions through the house tops at street view) Thank-you to all who added extra info. |
