Can someone please who has access to this census look up for me:-
Robert Kerr Kennedy He died fairly young, in 1902, 1st January at 6am in the Barnhill Poorhouse aged 48. Death registered by Thos Chisholm Asst. Governor 9th January 1902.
Reference 644/3, Year 1902, Parish Dennistoun, Entry 69 Name Robert Kennedy, Stableman, married to Mary Martin Date/Place 1st January 1902, 6am, Barnhill Poorhouse, Glasgow Sex/Age Male, 48 Father Thomas Kennedy, Labourer, deceased Mother Mary Kennedy, maiden surname Kerr, deceased Cause Bronchitis & Cardiac Disease Informant Thos (unclear) Chisholm, Asst,. Governor Registered 9th January 1902 There is a slight difference in birth year as he was given as 19 when married guessing his birth month could have been after the marriage month of July. There is also a variation in the 81 and 91 census.
Have tried myself but not able to access the information.
Would be great if some could find him for me. Rod in Australia

Rodney is a relatively new poster. Friendly message sent on how to return to his thread. :-)

Rodney welcome to the boards :-)
In case you are interested did you know that you can get a copy of the report from when Robert went into the poorhouse?
My 3x GGrandmother also died in Barnhill.
I got in touch with the MItchell Library Archives Dept and they sent me a photocopy of the poorhouse register. There is a charge to cover postage.
If you need their details just click on my name and send me a PM (private message)
I got a lot of useful info from her entry.

pms received:
Marie, taking it from 1881 and 1891 Census he was born Partick Renfrewshire.
Have him with wife and family in those Census but not with them in 1901, and from the Barnhill death he was there in January 1902. I was looking for the Barnhill 1901 Census thinking he would appear in it.
and
have his marriage Certificate.
Robert’s father Thomas was described as a Cloth Lapper and his mother’s first name was given as Margaret, not Mary. Both parents were deceased. Robert was 19, so was born in about 1853. He was a Bread Van Driver when he married. Mary was a Sewing Machine Worker and was aged 20. This time her father, James, was said to be a Clerk. Both her parents were apparently still alive.

Just wondering if anyone has managed to find Robert Kennedy in the Barnhill Poorhouse as per my posting on 9 April. I replied to all that kindly responded at the time of posting but it has gone quiet since.

Rodney, have you looked at Linda's post timed 10 Apr 2013 17:54 ?
I think she's given you a good option to pursue there - I'm afraid we can't do that for you.
Kind regards, MC
EDIT: One reason why this thread may have gone quiet is that you've marked it as answered so people may think you don't need any further help. You've ticked my post above as answered, probably because you sent me a reply. What happens when you do that is that the thread shows on the front page with a green tick - a lot of people won't look at those for the reason I've stated.
To remove the tick just go to your very first post on the thread and just above it should be a purple button that says something like "mark this as unanswered" - click on that.

Linda Not sure if I answered your kind response on finding Robert in the 1901 Census. Yes I had what you sent but as he was not wife wife and family in 1901 and I have his death certificate for Jan 1902 in the Barnhill Poorhouse have been trying to locate the 1901 for that poorhouse without success. I am using Find My Past with no success but understand it can be found on Ancestry. Which I wonder if you have, or some means of finding that Census. Cheers Rod in Hobart
