SO sorry to have dashed your hopes about the workhouse one Bob - It DID look very promising but I eventually managed to track him down on the census and I am afraid it does not appear to be him :-( |

Edward Thomas Mammatt was born in Manchester in 1854 to Joseph and Ann Mammatt.He married Mary Alice Sankey in Manchester in 1881 and they had no children. She left him in the late 1890s, and Edward T was with his father, Joseph, in Manchester at the time of the 1901 Census. Joseph subsequently died in 1905, but there's no indication that Edward T. was present. |
