Eliza Knight 1823 had James John 1843,she married Thomas Morris 26/4/1846 in Lambeth.

Her dad James Knight @ 1799 and dad of thomas morris was Robert Morris occupation of both Robert and thomas looks like Bedstead Makers.

Have checked the image on ancestry and all the infromation on names occuaptions and witnesses ties in.

I am now confident this is the right marriage.

sorry for not responding, had to pop out unexpectedly.

His name is James John Knight - apologies for the confusion. I have a christening record for him in 1853 gives mother's name as Eliza Knight - no mention of father.
On the 1851 census he is recorded as the grandson of Charlotte Knight c1799 of Sandpitts Petersham.

I have searched under both names and variations of Shepherd spelling not sure why the Ancestry reference did not com up.

Thanks for the above references they look promising

A very long shot, just in case she was already married?? Might be worth checking for these people 1871 to exclude them:

There is this as a possible, his occupation on this record is the same as on the 1871 census.
His father is given as Thomas Morris Knight, occp. Carman

Hi Folks
I am struggling to find a marriage for the above. Jane Shepherd born 1845 in Ham Surrey England and John James Knight born 1843 Petersham Surrey England. They are on the 1871 census as married with two children James age 3 and William age 10 months living in Petersham Surrey.
I have tried different spellings of surnames and searches outside of Surrey to no avail.
Any help or suggestions much appreciated
