From all censuses it seems Joseph was born late 1809 or late 1810 in Bradley, Huddersfield BUT on searching in all the main Genealogy sites I can find no such birth. Can anyone offer advice please as until I have information enabling me to send for his birth certificate I cannot proceed further.
thanks in anticipation Paul Brooke

The Joseph in the censuses is mine BUT sadly not the one in the pedigree file on family search. You probably can get a feel for my frustration so far?
Paul

Joseph Ibbitson was on my short list for a while BUT the logic I have used is checking the children listed under Joseph in the censuses and that seems to eliminate him, thanks though

1) Can you tell me where/what topic I posted more than one request for?
2) When did I click on your name as certainly for several replies now I have used the "Add your reply" box.

1) You slipped it in on the thread about Elizabeth Hampshire. Admittedly it was ignored, but might have been picked up later. Now that you have started this one, may be you could delete/edit that particular post so that searches/suggestions aren't duplicated? .............. Paul Report 27 Mar 2013 15:49
Thanks for the responses all. As the detail on the presumably church/parish record does NOT give the actual church where the marriage took place >>>what can be done to find further information such as who were Joseph's parents? <<<<< Elizabeth's parents I know, (by the way father was George SHEPLEY Hampshire according to my info.).
Paul ..............
2) Reggie has added the comment to her 'research' box. A lot of regular members do something similar as inexperienced posters assume a connection, or reply by PM instead of on the thread.
For instance, PollyPocket who replied on the Elizabeth thread has on hers
*PLEASE DO NOT: send me information concerning your thread on the board as it should be posted on your request where all members can see it.. PLEASE DO NOT: ask me for help with lookups as they should be placed on the boards to get the best possible result. PLEASE DO NOT: open your tree just because I have posted information on your thread as I will not be related. Thank you. *
And this is mine - Researching: I am NOT an employee of GR, just a paying member. Any advice, guidance or suggestions offered is given in good faith.

I am somewhat confused but assume that my question asking what could be done to find Joseph's parents was NOT considered to be my objective in raising the question of parents when actually that was the purpose.
If I have upset anyone then it is due to ignorance as to how the system is supposed to work. Something which I remain confused about. all my questions and where they have been made were done in good faith

I have no knowledge of Huddesfield Paul........but hopefully someone who does, will be able to point you in the right direction and maybe post a site that will give you a contact nunber for more information.
Good luck.
Prickles.
