Thanks Kath - that's what I believe is the case. I cannot find anything further about them though. A distant cousin once mentioned to me that we had relatives in the States so I wondered if at some stage she had followed her daughter to America. |

No I am not sure that her second husband was William Cook. She was born in Cornwall and I believe her first husband, William Ablett died in Cornwall in 1916 although they had lived in Essex. |

My grandfather's sister, Margaret Stevens, married William Ablett, in 1909 in Cornwall and they had one daughter, Irene, born in 1911 in Romford, Essex . I understand that William Ablett died in 1916 and that Margaret, I think, remarried William Cook in 1921 (?). |
