Wow! Thanks to all who have given their time to finding out all this information. I shall try to fit it all together and make sense of it. (also to find out what a Quiller was). |

If she knew her father, his name will be on her marriage cert. |

The marriage GlitterBaby listed would cofirm Mary's father's name. She may not have been christened. |

I have a sampler made by my gt. gt. grandmother Mary Hart date 1839 'in her 9th year'. She married Gideon Bush (born 1828 Bradford on Avon) and had 9 children, in various locations from Bradford on Avon to Mitcham and Plaistow, London. She and her family were weavers/cloth workers. I cannot find a definite birth for her. Perhaps Bearfield, giving her mother as Eliza Byfield in 1830 but I am not sure. Can anyone help me, please? Eventually, Gideon left her in West Ham and went to Lancashire, where he lived with a Jane Tomlinson and died aged 56. I can't get any further until I know her parents for certain. Many thanks, MJ. |
