Thanks Frances - do you brush your rock buns with beaten egg before baking?
Well, we've also identified 3 more likely siblings now - Daniel, Ellen & Job. Not finding any baptisms anywhere for them so it's tricky to work out where they were born.

Thank you MarieCeleste (perhaps I could 'attach' a rock bun - without candied peel). My reasoning for the first four of Sarah's siblings is that Margaret got married in Thornton in Craven, in 1803, and the children are born there immediately after her marriage. I find that frequently people alter their 'places of birth' in different census, this could be due to the way the ennumerator couched the question. It is unfortunate that this family is created during a time sufficiently before 1841 that the family is broken up long before they can be found together in census. Bradford was possibly the biggest 'wool town' in the area at that time and if most of them were living there they don't show up as close neighbours.

This could be another sibling:
West Yorkshire, England, Marriages and Banns, 1813-1935
Name: Job Lambert - Delver Birth Year: abt 1820 Age: 31 Marriage or Bann Date: 10 May 1851 Parish: Bradford, St Peter (Bradford Cathedral) Father's Name: Robert Lambert - TAILOR Spouse's Name: Susannah Storey (29) Spouse's Father's Name: Christopher Storey - Delver
Both single.
Witnesses: John Newson and William Holmes (witness at Rhoda's marriage, too)
EDIT: William Holmes was a witness at lots of weddings - must have been a "professional", he was even a witness at Sarah's remarriage.

I think we can be confident that Ellen and Daniel were the siblings of Sarah but i'm not sure about the others you have from Thornton in Craven - that's a bit out of the area.
EDIT: I see from above that Margaret was originally from that area.

On Sarah's marriage in 1838 one of the witnesses was a Daniel Lambert, I reckon it must be her brother going by this:
West Yorkshire, England, Marriages and Banns, 1813-1935
Name: Daniel Lambert - Dyer Birth Year: abt 1815 Age: 25 Marriage or Bann Date: 27 Sep 1840 Parish: Bradford, Christ Church Father's Name: Robert Lambert - TAILOR Spouse's Name: Ann Simpson (23) Spouse's Father's Name: Benjamin Simpson - Tailor
Neither married before.
Witnesses: William Robinson, Eliza ? Simpson

I'm guessing that 1841 is the right family based on this marriage:
West Yorkshire, England, Marriages and Banns, 1813-1935
Name: Ellen Lambert Birth Year: abt 1824 Age: 19 Marriage or Bann Date: 22 Jan 1843 Parish: Calverley, St Wilfrid Father's Name: Robert Lambert - TAILOR Spouse's Name: Thomas Tobin (22) Private in 17th Lancers Spouse's Father's Name: Thomas Tobin - Flax Spinner
Neither married before.
Witnesses: Ellen Stocks and William Hartley

Copied from the Field thread to keep me on the right track:
I appreciate it is my job to keep you occupied with difficult requests and I would love to know whether your sources can add to my search in Family Search this morning. Previously we (you) found : 1851 LAMBERT, Margaret Head Widow F 68 1783 Bradford, Yorkshire >>>LONG, Sarah Daughter Widow F 33 1818 Stuff Weaver Bradford, Yorkshire >>>LONG, Rhoda Grand Daughter F 12 1839 Attg School Bradford, Yorkshire >>>LONG, Job Grand Son M 9 1842 Attg School Bradford, Yorkshire >>>LONG, Ellen Grand Daughter F 3 1848 Bradford, Yorkshire
Mother and daughter seem to have trouble keeping their husbands (alive)
From other info sent to me I have progressed to find the marriage For Sarah's parents Robert Lambert Marriage: 14 Apr 1803 Thornton in Craven, Yorkshire Spouse : Margaret Wilkinson
and siblings Male 13 Oct 1803, Jenny 23 Jun 1805, John 10 Oct 1808, Stephen 21 Nov 1810, Batch C10583-2
but then the trail goes cold. I haven't found a birth for Sarah c.1817 or any others.
Does the 1841 census for Margaret show up - I guess she should have been in Bradford by then.

Thank you MarieCeleste, this burial is the same date as the one I plumped for in FreeBMD. I have made some suggestions about getting certificates for various family events but the response was not overwhelming......
