Well, I am not totally sure, but according to my contact, Elizabeth was living with John and several children in Walsall in 1851. I have seen the 1851 and there are Susanna, John and Thomas. In 1861 there are some more children, and some missing, but as yet don't know if this is the right Elizabeth. I have just found a death for a Thomas SCHRIER Hanley in Sep. 1851, one site says the death was in Walsh, which I believe is joined with Walsall, but another site says its North Walsham which is Norfolk. I think its more likely to be Walsall area, in which case, maybe his mother was Elizabeth Schrier. What do you think. |

Hi, can anyone tell me if Elizabeth Schrier b c1824 in Stepney, the daughter of John Schrier and Grace Moore ever married. I haven't been able to find a marriage anywhere. In 1841 she is living with the parents and brother Joseph in Chatham, Kent, aged 17. A contact of mine suggests that she had 3 children, either by a husband or illegitimately, prior to her forming a relationship with a John Hanley b c1817 in Westmoreland although they weren't sure. John and an Elizabeth are living together by 1851. They have several children, although some died in infancy. I know I could order a birth certificate of one of the later children to get the mother's maiden name, but I thought I would ask for help first, as the good people at Genes have often helped me a lot. |
