	Edward and Janet were both from Rackwick, Hoy, Orkney Isles. Edward born 1772, Janet 1776, his father may be James Rich(1742) married to Katherine Laughton. Trying to find if this is correct and who is Edward's g father. I believe they were also related to the Sutherlands in Orkney. Isaac was a son and the family ended up in Australia, which is where I am a descendant.

	I have seen this spelling before for Rich/Ritch. Edward Rich and Jannet Thompson are the only ones I'm 100% sure of, but birthdates may be slightly out ...Rackwick is soooo tiny (just google earthed it!) it is quite a possibility that you may have the right ones. Kirkwall & St Ola are also familiar. Have we 2 Edwards? which would make James and Katherine Ed 1772's gparents? Will work on this and see where it takes me! :-S :-S

	:-S :-S :-S Ok, so as I understand this , in descending order Edward = ?Stewart James (1748)=Katherine Laughton Edward (1772) =Jannet Thompson Isaac (c 1810) = Isabella RiTch Daniel Sutherland Rich(1834-1917) = Sophia...my gggparents I have family bible docs for Daniel and Isaac, also BMD
