Hi,
Is there any kind soul out there that has access to WW1 army pension records and could do a look up for me?
Looking for anything relating to John Bradford with addresses of possibly 216 Newmarket Road, Cambridge, OR 241, Newmarket Road, Cambridge Or Newmarket Terrace, Cambridge. Wife either Margaret or Harriett.
He is described as 'Army Pensioner' on the birth certificate of his son Frederick John Bradford in 1919.
Thanks in advance...J

I'm not seeing an appropriate marriage for a John Bradford to a Margaret or Harriett Day.

Not sure they married. The reason for Margaret or Harriett is that on the birth certificate mothers name is given as Harriett but at the baptism it is given as Margaret.

Birth certificate for Frederick John Bradford does not say 'formerly'
I am specifically looking for the army pension record of John Bradford to try and shed further light on to whether this family are connected to my father (John Bradford b1914) who was deserted by his parents in Bedford in 1918. My fathers birth certificate shows his parents names as John Bradford and Margaret Day.
The full details are given in my other thread 'BRADFORD FAMILY MYSTERY'
Thanks...J

Hmm...from other 'Thread', not sure it will be easy, lol.
Did you have a Birthplace and rough year of Birth, for looking at Pension Records?, not an easy task without.

(although above is on other 'Thread', how did it connect to family at 241, Newmarket Road?, think things got a bit too confusing!)

Thank you all for info and comments.
Chris, in 1920 the occupants of 216 newmarket road have changed (or have they? I tell you...this family..!!)
The electoral roll for 1920 shows John and Margaret WILLIAMS as the occupants. In 1921 they have left.
John Bradford is listed in Spalding’s Directory of Cambridge 1919-1920 as a ‘Labourer’ on Newmarket Terrace, Newmarket Road.
in the 1920 electoral register for Cambridge that John and his wife Ellen Mary Bradford were living at 241 Newmarket Road. I cannot connect this family to mine, or indeed at the moment the John Bradford at 216 newmarket road.
I was hoping the army pension records might help.
