Hi all, i am researching my gt gt Grandfather William Sim born in Scotland 1828/1830, in 1871 he appears in the census in Lancaster (Lancs) living in the militia barracks, from 1871 i have most of his details including his children, his wife is named Adelaide, and she is believed to be from Jersey (may/may not be correct) the info that evades me is when he left Scotland, exactly where in Scotland was he born, where he married Adelaide and what was her surname, i believe their first child( Adelaide) was born in Ireland,William is recorded as a Chelsea pensioner in Lancaster before his death. Pre 1871 i have very little info on William, can anyone help please.
