Hi, Could someone please help. We have found a glass rolling pin with the inscription Andrew and Agnes Harrison 26.Sept, 1862. Passed down through the generations (husbands grandmasname was Catherine Harrison = Thomas Davidson Miller
I have searched through the normal BMD etc .
I have found a couple of Andrew and Agnes Harrison census forms but the ages do not correspond with the mrriage year.
The family come from South Shields, Gateshead Durham Northumberland
any help would be much appreciated

When was Catherine born?

Who were her parents?

The year on the rolling pin may not be that of a marriage. Or, if it does, the marriage may not have taken place in England/Wales

I've gone back to 1841 for Robert......no Andrew in the household on any of them

As far as I can make out Catherine Harrison 1884 married Thomas Davidson Miller 1880











All guess work on my part as very few relative alive.
Catherine Harrison 1883 married Thomas Davidson Miller 1880 in 1904.
I had established Catherine parents were Robert Thomas 1839 and Agnes but the rolling pin threw a spanner in the works. None of the relatives still alive have any knowledge of their family living anywhere other than south shields, durham jarrow northumberland part of the country.
