Kevin, just an observation - how do you know her mother's name, if you don't have the birth cert?
Mavis is right - you may be lucky and get an address to search from that cert.

You may be surprised when you get the Birth cert . -- I managed to find a relatives mother 's mother from the 2 addresses on the birth cert.
1 address where the baby was born and the other was where she worked --
dont give up you never know

It's a long shot I admit; the child was born in West Derby - I've ordered the birth certificate but it is unlikely to provide any further useful information.

Doubtful that you'll find anything............to trace a person, it is necessary to know when and where he/she was born......info which clearly isn't available in this instance

Where was the child born?

Looking for information relating to Emma Parry, a general servant, who gave birth to a daughter Dorothy Eileen 20.12.1922, put up for adoption with a Burton family.in Liverpool.
Any ideas much appreciated.
