Hi, is someone able to search the 1851 and 1861 census for:

Charles Slade c1823 - Coleshill, Buckinghamshire - should be head
Emma Slade c1824 - Wife (nee Joel)

Believe some of their children during the period were William Sladse 1844, Alfred Slade 1846, Henry Slade 1848 and Angelina Slade 1850. All born Coleshill, Bucks

Hi,

I'm not sure this is of any help to you in your enquiries? My Great Great Grandad was the William mentioned above, he moved from Coleshill in the late 1860's and ended up Walton/Chertsey way, Walter his son was my Great Grandad and I believe he was the last blacksmith in this branch of the family, Alfred, his son was my Grandad.

Hi again
Been working on another line of my tree so just had to get my head in the right gear again.
So your great great grandfather, William Slade was the older brother of my husband's great great grandmother, Angeline Slade. She married a James Stevens and their line follows through their daughter Angelina Stevens who married a Tom Simmonds. Their son Henry Symonds was my husband's grandfather. So not sure exactly but guess my husband and yourself are distant cousins?
