Hi Gins,
I don't have the certificate as I am working upwards to find which William is the right one. When I do find it, and purchase the cert, as I've made a big blunder in my tree and don't want to get it wrong again.
I will research the info and see if the info you have sent to me today, as the last one I tried wasn't the right one - so it continues for now.

Oh my goodness - you've found some more info! I have just found the cert in my pile of papers, and it states William Stevens as his father William, but not there.
Not sure if he came to Wisbech at that time, as I haven't as yet found that branch, but the last place was definitely Terrington St Clement.

Do you mean you want to go back a generation to William's father?

What is the occupation of his father on the marriage certificate and the witnesess/addresses too?

William was born in Terrington St Clement , but Phoebe definitely hailed from Wymondham - I do have the certificate for the marriaget. All I know after that was that I wasn't sure if I could find the next William to get me back on track.

As you have the marriage cert, you must know the name given for the father..........
