I got the name Mary Ann Hoppins from a copy of Janes birth certificate Jane Was my Great great Grandmother. I couldn't find a copy of Benjamin and Mary's marriage cert.

I also tried Hoppin, as you say a very unusual name Hoppin/Hoppins.
There is a Maria Hopkins Chigwell Essex born 1811 father John and mother Ann.

I was thinking that Vera - Hoppins is a very unusual name, although there do seem to be a few named 'Hoppin' (without the s) around?

I wonder where Kathleen got that name from - she doesn't appear to have their marriage ??

I am looking for information on Mary Mann Hoppins who married Benjamin Darby they had two daughters Jane born 1838 and Jessie born 1840 Approx.
Mary was born in Latton Essex and after she married lived in Epping Essex
