Looking to find the birth of Cyril or his parents' marriage so I can find Florence's maiden name.

Cyril was born in Belfast and Florence in Carrick Fergus so would expect a marriage in Co. Antrim. Image says George and Florence have been marriage 18 years.

Thanks Catherine.

Sounds very fancy.

I don't know any more about Cyril so I don't know if he is the one.

I've been looking for my great grandmother who was Margaret Ferguson in 1911. She had just been widowed and was rumored to be from Ireland.

What I'm really hoping is that Florence's maiden name was Murray.

Just noticed that Florence says she was born in Carrick Fergus in 1911 census and the baptism record I have just added above also has Anna Georgina McMurray born Carrick Fergus, could very well be correct.
Could be worth looking into?

Her maiden name was McMurray which is very close!

Oh my gosh! I think that must be her.

Tracing George back in the census records, he appears to have been baptized George Alfred in 1866.

I've been looking for years. I got a message today to say that the 1911 census is free on Ancestry at the moment so I took a look as I couldn't find her on the Findmypast 1911 census.

Margaret Mary went on to marry and have my grandfather.

Only problem is, on Margaret's 2 marriage certificates she states her father is Edward Murray a builder.

The image says Mrs Fergson widowed, age 35, born Carrickfergus. Also says she was married 8 years.

My Margaret Mary Murray was married in October 1902 and was widowed days before the 1911 census. I have been unable to find her on any census record. Her husband was in the army but I would have expected her to be around the Portsmouth area. She marries there in 1914.

Thanks Clover. That would correspond to Anna Georgina.

Margaret Mary had children in 1917 and 1920 so I think that makes Anna too old.

I'll take a look at the images.

The 1911 census did say Mrs Ferguson had one child.

Well, Robert may have been magistrate but he certainly liked to lie about his daughter's ages!

It's too bad but I don't think this is my family. Margaret's father was a builder called Edward.

Thanks for your help Betty and Catherine.
