I am Herbert Cyril and Jean (Jenny) Salmon's daughter, Jeremy's sister. What do you want to know?
I just found this site. Will be looking for the second family of Herbert William Salmon, my grandfather, who returned from WWI, divorced my grandmother (Harrietta May nee Dodson) and remarried and had more children. I learned only later in life of this branch of the family and would like to contact them.

Sad-Mushroom - this is the same Herbert Cyril Salmon, my father. If you have any questions I will try to answer them for you.

I am Herbert Cyril and Jean Salmon's daughter. I just found this site and am happy to answer questions as best I can.

Can anything else be found out about the will or is it too up to date?

After 14days from the publication of this notice an application for Probate of the Will dated 3rd March 1967 of Herbert Cyril SALMON, Art Dealer, deceased will be made by Jean SALMON Executrix named in the said Will.......

This listing gives an email address should you wish to communicate. Its always worth a try, but family names especially in business circles are important.

I found a birth on TROVE for Jeremy Swinchatt salmon, son of Herbert and Jean. He was not born until 1943. Cannot find one for Genevieve though. So it does look like his son was company director in 1965.

We cannot search births in NSW Australia after 1911 (There is a CD to 1918),,,so any births after 1937 are way out of our range..
There might be birth notices on TROVE online newspapers.

The family seems to arrive in Queensland 21 Oct 1909 on Rippingham Grange.

Herberts death notice states he died 2nd December 1976 at hospital, late of Carlingford. Husband of Jenny father of Jeremy and Genevieve, brother of Cedric.

Its Herbert and Jean i am after. The only address i have is 149 Pennant Hills Road. I know Herbert and Jean married in 1937. I think they had two children, Jeremy and Genevieve. Dont know when or where they were born. Jeremy Swinchatt could possibly be his son Jeremy????

I'm just trying to check there aren't two Herbert Cyril SALMON around at that same time..

1930 Elect Rolls have a HCS at 219 Miller St North Sydney (a picture framer) and also at the same address is Cedric Laurence SALMON and Henrietta May SALMON.

1936/1937 Rolls have a HCS at Clareville, Avalon Beach, Warringah. (an estate manager)

1943 has HSC and Jean at 7 Hassall St, Parramatta (he is listed as laboratory worker)

1949 borh Herbert and Jean are at Yuruga, Pennant Hills Road, Parramatta (he is listed as paint manufacturer)

1958/1963 the same but at 149 Pennant Hills Road.

I have a Herbert Cyril Salmon b.1902 Kingston, Middlesex who moved to Australia where he married Jean Mackay in 1937 at Woollahra. I have been told that for the years 1955 - 1975 Herbert was listed as a paint manufacturer and that in 1965 he had a Jeremy Swinchatt Salmon living at the same address listed as a director. I am trying find out about the company and hopefully where Jeremy fits in. Any assistance would be really helpful.
