Can't find Frank Ernest Pullen in 1901 but there is a strong contender with his family in 1911, shown as single.

Have been researching Winter / Pullen and might have some leads for you. Sarah Emily Winter was my great-grandmother - she remarried in April 1906 to William Webster. She gives herself as a widow but I have my doubts!!
