there was no Thomas Hoare born in Aston or Birmingham 1875-1878

do we think perhaps mother Eliza was not married ?

is the information about Thomas's father being Thomas taken from his marriage certificate ?

if that is the case ... it was not uncommon for children of unmarried parents to name a fictitious father ... in some cases it was their maternal grandfather

oh my goodness Cornwall there is a chance our Hoares are related after all !

North hill and St Stephens by Saltash ... !!

unfortunately I do not know enough about my Hoares ( who are from at least three generations before Thomas abt 1876 ) to be able to tell .........

one thing to remember is that the name in Cornwall was spelt several ways ... Hore and Hoar too

but those 1881 Cornwall Hoares ... may not be the right ones

where is the 1901 Thomas with mother Eliza, in 1881 and 1891 ??

this is the Cornwall one in 1891

Name: Thomas Hoare
Age: 14
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1877
Relation: Servant
Gender: Male
Where born: St. Stephens, Cornwall, England
Civil parish: St Stephen

and here he is in 1901 so unfortunately he is not the man we are after

Name: Thomas Hoar
Age: 24
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1877
Relation: Son
Father's Name: Thomas Hoar
Mother's Name: Emma Hoar
Gender: Male
Where born: St Stephens, Cornwall, England
Civil parish: Saltash St Stephen

in 1901 mother Eliza says she is married

Hi

Thanks for your reply my great grandfather was Arthur Hoare 1900.

His father was Thomas Hoare 1877 married to Mary Ann Beesley .

They were both from birmingham.

Thomas's father was also called Thomas 1856 he married an Eliza?.

This Thomas was from Cornwall but unable to find anything else. I know through family that there is an Irish link but this hasn't yet been established.

Hope this makes sense lol.

Tracey it is best to give the details of the people you are looking for

your post will soon sink back into the archives and no one who might recognize it will see it ... unless maybe they find it using google for example

for that to happen it is best if you have full names and dates in your post

also be sure to put the family in your tree here at genesreunited

and to search trees ( the button up in the top row ) for others with the same names

have a look at the 'how to use' post at the top of this board and it will help ... then you can just add a post to this thread ( the 'add reply' box down at the bottom ) with more details

it is unlikely that any related person will reply but if you have specific questions other members may be able to help ... just browse a few other threads here to get a feeling

I don't think my Hoare family way back in my tree is connected at all with Aston unfortunately ! :-D
